Soil Health Champion Patti Armbrister Returns!

We're thrilled to welcome Patti Armbrister back to SpiritWorks! A fourth generation farmer, Patti is also a leader in regenerative soil-building techniques and founder of Agrarian Food Web. During her workshop Understanding the Plants We Call “Weeds,” she’ll help our community navigate common weeds they face to ultimately gain a richer understanding of weed management. Patti will expand upon how “weeds” can be important indicators of nutrient deficiency and facilitators of plant succession. She'll also perform a demonstration on how to transform thistle into a powerful soil amendment.

Then SpiritWorks’ Anna Prestegaard will contribute her perspective on the medicinal value of local weeds, with insight into how they can promote health & well-being.

Expect to leave with a better understanding of the merits of weeds for both our soil and out own health!
